School Uniforms

The purpose of MCI’s dress code is to encourage neat appearance and to control the expense of outfitting students. Uniforms help to create a sense of equality among students and will encourage unity, helping each person to feel that they belong. Given the long tradition of school uniforms at MCI, most students find that wearing the uniforms at MCI gives them a sense of pride in belonging to that rich history.

School uniforms are purchased from McCarthy’s through MCI. Uniform fittings take place near the end of June on student registration day after acceptance has been received. Please make alternate arrangement if unable to attend.  All uniform items must be McCarthy’s.

Choir Uniforms

Students in all school choirs are required to wear choir uniform for all concerts.

Choir uniform consists of the following:  black pants, black dress shirt (3/4 or full sleeve), and black dress shoes.

These items must be purchased by the student and are not available for purchase at MCI, except for boys shirts for auditioned choirs.  Boys shirts for those in Chamber Choir, Resonate, and Illuminate are ordered by the music director after these choirs have been selected.
