MCI Students Elect New StuCo Exec

As the 2008-2009 school year begins to wind down, MCI took a significant step in preparing for the 2009-2010 school year on June 2nd, as students voted on a student council executive for the upcoming school year.

In a tight race, Lauren Harms was elected as the 2009-2010 Student Council President. Two students (Spencer Nickel and Eric Thompson) tied for the second most presidential votes, so a second round of voting was required to determine the 2009-2010 StuCo Vice-President. In the end, Spencer Nikkel was elected to the position. Keenan Wiebe and Broedy Heinrichs also put together strong campaigns for the position of president.

Jessica Martens (Secretary) and Coryn Pankratz (Treasurer) will fill the two other exectutive roles in the upcoming school year.
