MCI battles GVC by Nancy Ratzlaff The MCI JV Girls' basketball team hosted Garden Valley Collegiate on Wednesday, Feb. 4. GVC started strong and their successful fast breaks gave them an early lead. By half-time, MCI was down by 20 points. However, the MCI Blues fired back with 20 points in the third quarter to bring the score to 37-38 at the start of the 4th quarter. Once again, GVC's drives and fast breaks were too much to stop and MCI couldn't retain the lead. At the last buzzer, the score was 55-46 in favor of GVC.
