- MCI alumnus Werner Ens ('74) was award the "Canadian Nobel Prize" - The Manning Innovation Award - in September. He shares the award with his colleague Ken Standing for their work in physics (Read more).

- World renowned operatic bass Phil Ens ('80) will perform a concert gala event at MCI in February of next year (MORE).

July 27, 2009
- MCI to produce "Oliver Twist" as second annual community drama. Volunteers are needed (MORE).

- MCI alumnus Henry Engbrecht is hosting a fundraiser for his Graduate Fellowship on May 21st (MORE INFO)

March 24, 2009
- MCI alumnus Aran Matsuda ('07) captured the Rose Bowl, as he was named the most outstanding senior vocalist in the 91st annual Winnipeg Music Fesitval (MORE).

-MCI alumna Paige Smith ('04) was named DAC Player of the Week for the week of March 16-22. Smith (OF/P) is currently playing fastpitch for the Valley City State University Vikings (MORE).

- MCI alumnus Paul Peters ('04) was named Canadian Mennonite University's Male Rookie of the Year. Peters led the Blazers to the MCAC championship in hockey and a MCAC bronze medal in volleyball.
